Whatever you believe — here’s how to find it, survive the anomaly guarding it, and make the most out of its strange power.

💎 What Is the Weird Ball?
The Weird Ball is one of the most unique artifacts in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Born from the mysterious Bulba anomaly, this artifact is said to reduce bullet damage — especially when you’re standing still. But there’s a twist: the longer you survive while taking damage, the heavier the artifact becomes, weighing up to 5 kg.
That’s the Zone’s way of reminding you — nothing comes free.
📍 Where to Find It
Head to Zalissya, one of the first major regions in the game’s Lesser Zone.
Move east from the settlement until you find a large pool of water surrounded by a few old houses, cars, an ambulance, and a crane.
Floating above the pool, you’ll spot the eerie Bulba anomaly — it looks like a pulsing water vortex in the air. That’s your destination.
⚙️ How to Get the Weird Ball (Step-by-Step)
Save your game first. One mistake here, and you’ll be Zone dust.
Hide behind the crane or nearby wreckage. Watch the anomaly — when it expands, it’s safe to move. When it contracts, it drags everything toward it.
Move cover to cover: from rock → to another → to the ambulance.
When it’s safe, look in front of the ambulance — that’s where you’ll see the Weird Ball glowing faintly.
Grab it fast and backtrack carefully, keeping your eye on the anomaly’s rhythm.
💡 Pro Tips
Equip the artifact only when you need it — its weight can slow you down.
Some players debate how strong its damage reduction really is, but it’s still one of the best early-game artifacts for survival.
The Bulba anomaly resets after a while — if you miss your chance, come back later and try again.
